JAW: Just Another Wideband

Product Features:

JAW is Just Another Wideband reader, there is nothing special about it except the price. JAW features 2 programmable outputs, serial connection, 3 real-time datalogging channels; AFR, RPM, external voltage1,external voltage 2, and sensor temperature, uses the low cost Bosch LSU wideband sensor ($50-$70), Accuracy to 0.01 Lambda, firmware upgradeable, and Free-Air calibration.
Serial communications for programming the analog outputs, firmware upgrades, and real-time datalogging requires a PC with Windows 98/XP/Vista, Microsoft .Net Framework, and available serial port or serial-to-usb converter.
For documentation; User Manual, DIY Assembly Guide, and Cable Construction Guides, please download the latest deployment package available here, and unzip the package, all documentation is in the "DOC" directory.
To see a video of JAW working in My 1997 Jeep TJ click here. The output is being read by my voltmeter, I have programmed one of the outputs so that the output voltage is AFR/10, 1.47[volts]=14.7[AFR].
To see a user video of JAW working in his car please click here, at the time when Eli ordered JAW the display was sold out, so he managed to get the Techedge WBO2 display working with JAW. The video also shows the case Eli made for JAW. Thanks Eli for permission to use the video.
*I see lots of posts in various forums with the sentiment that JAW is not much cheaper than an LC-1, usually they compare JAW Assembled($80) + Assembled Display ($35) + Cost of Sensor ($50) = $165 to the LC-1 which is about $200. That is not a fair comparison as the LC-1 does not include a display, a fairer comparison would be to compare JAW against LC-1 ($200) + Innovate DB gauge ($90) = $290. Or to compare JAW Assembled ($80) + sensor ($50) =$130 to LC-1 ($200). Another point to consider is that LC-1 does not have RPM input for datalogging where as JAW does.
To be honest I am not competing against the LC-1, JAW serves a market segment that no one else serves, sub $100 and sub $50, at those price points there is no competition. When I make a wideband reader that is in the $200 range it will be a wideband that will bury other $200 widebands.
Before you decide to purchase JAW, please read the information on the JAW FYI Page, it lists exactly what other parts you need to buy to have a complete wideband system
